I am a former teacher and fierce advocate for the inclusion of all students. I have learned that when students feel connected and included while at school they are able to thrive academically. I believe feeling connected and being embraced by your school community are important indicators for academic success.
I have seen this firsthand when my son became a victim of repeated and escalating harassment and slander at school which continues to this day. It is what helped me to see the great need to shift the climate and culture in our nations schools from places students are merely surviving to places where they are thriving.
This blog is a result of one of those needs .
It is my hope that by seeing adults who are on the other side of this trauma and living happy productive lives students and parents can be encouraged.
It is my hope that by creating a community of adults who persevered that those who are experiencing heartache at school today will see the importance of hanging on so they too can experience their “ One Day”
“Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.”

As a photographer, my main goal is to connect with each client on an emotional level and bring that to life through an image. I create real moments so the clients can look back on the images and see their authentic selves and a true reflection of how they felt in the moments.
While I am based in South Bend, Indiana, I am pleased to offer destination photography all over the globe.
